Book an examiner

To book an examination for your students simply download and complete a form before submitting it to ASCA.

All fees are payable to the Treasurer, Carolyn McKenzie and must be paid by the due dates specified in ASCA News, or at least 6 weeks before the exam. Cheques should be made out to ASCA.

  • There must be a minimum of 3 hours examining in the metropolitan area (excluding a morning tea and/or lunch break) for an examiner to be sent to a Centre. Otherwise the Open Day must be used.
  • Examining time for a day must not exceed 6 1/2 hours.
  • A loading fee may have to apply for hire of premises and associated costs.
  • If fees are late, exam report forms will not be sent and an examiner will not be appointed. Late entries will incur an additional fee of $10 per student.

Cancellation of Examinations

Should ASCA cancel examinations e.g. due to illness of the examiner,  the examinations will be rescheduled to  a time suitable for the candidates and the examiner or alternatively the fees will be refunded.

While we cannot provide a refund should the candidate withdraw the following options are available:

  1. If the absence is due to illness and a Medical Certificate is provided, ASCA will allow the candidate to re-enter during the following 12 months at 1/2 the fee.
  2. If for any reason the candidate cancels, ASCA will allow the candidate to sit for the exam at another examination centre or Open Day within 3 months where possible.
