Dip. Comm. (ASCA) and Dip. ASCA

The Diplomas consist of both oral and written examinations and are available to students who have reached a high standard in earlier examinations.

The Diploma of Communication is a professional qualification and aims to assess proficiency in many aspects of oral communication, thereby offering a reference for career or professional application.

The Diploma of ASCA is a professional qualification for those wishing to become accredited speech teachers.

ASCA examiners can be sent to schools or studios for practical examinations for large numbers of students. Smaller numbers may be submitted on the Open Days organised by ASCA.

Parents and friends are encouraged to attend the assessments and join in question time. In fact, an audience is essential for all practical examinations as it aims to help candidates be confident and comfortable in front of a group. Presenting to an audience also helps to develop listening skills for the speaker and audience members.

Each candidate receives a written report and, if successful, a certificate outlining the achievement.
